Lake Długie (Long Lake) is 2.2 km long and 1 km wide at its widest point and is certificated as some of Poland’s cleanest natural water. For conservation reasons, no piston engined craft are permitted to be used on the lake. This means there are no noisy or polluting craft to spoil your peaceful enjoyment.

Available:

4 x sit-on-top kayaks, one of which is for two persons.

3 x rowing boats for fishing, 1 electric trolling motor with

55 lbs thrust.

1 x excellent ‘Old Town’ 17 foot Canadian canoe.

1 x Pedalo with two seats and a fishing platform to the rear.

There is a small sandy beach from which to swim. The water is normally nice and warm in the summer.

The lake is never crowded. More often than not, you could be the only ones on it. Very few people use lake Długie as it is surrounded mainly by forest with only a handful of properties that have access to it. At its deepest the water depth is 14 metres. There is a small tree-covered island which is good for doing timed runs to, around, and back from the garden in the boats. Could you beat the record?

The garden is a good size and is mainly lawn. There is plenty of room for having a kick around or playing badminton etc. We have a table tennis table which can be used indoors or taken outside in the summer months. Of course you may not wish to do anything energetic at all, in which case, the garden is a great place to just relax and unwind in peace just watching red kites and eagles wheeling overhead and listening to the myriad birds singing to you.

Enjoy the Fire Pit covered outdoor dining experience. It will bring out the boy-scout, or girl-guide, in anyone. Cook on the open fire, use the BBQ, use the smoker or use all three… it all adds up to a fabulously enjoyable experience.

The lake has all the fish species you might expect, such as: Carp, Pike, Perch, Zander and others. To fish, a local fishing license will be required but we can assist with its acquisition.

The garden is visited all year round by a wide variety of birds and insects. There is always something to see and photograph - see the Wildlife page for more information.
